Add-Ons

This section is for various add-ons for Second Life that are, unfortunately, necessary to make the world simply more livable. Below you'll find add-ons that I personally use and others that I don't.

Necessary Add-Ons:

HJAO - Apparently built on top of ZHAO, this one costs $50L and comes with roughly 15 overrides. I've been using it for a while and at least it is true...I don't look like a duck. I actually look like a really concerned businessman, but it's better than a duck I suppose.

Translation Add-Ons:

Ferd's Free Translator - A Google-based translator, among other items for free. Probably useful if you ever run into anyone who doesn't speak English. I wouldn't keep it attached all of the time, though.

Optional Add-Ons:

BlogHUD(website) - An in-world blogging tool. Pretty spiffy.
BlogHUD(location) - See above.

metaLIFE(website) - Marketplace Tool (Have To Hit HQ For HUD) - Not quite sure what to make of this thing, but it looks like they're trying to compete with XstreetSL and company. Worth looking at if you're trying to sell items or wish to buy in a different manner.
metaLIFE(location) - Marketplace Tool - See above.

NOTE: Must travel to their location in-world in order to successfully get a copy of the HUD. Kinda broken, don't know why.

SLProfiles.com
- Another Myspace look-a-like for Second Life. Looks pretty lively.

Advanced Add-Ons:

ZHAO - Ziggy's HUD Animator Overrider. An open-source HUD for loading override animations into Second Life. Basically, the idea of AO is that you don't have to walk like a duck anymore. Not sure how to use this one, went with HJAO because the built-in animations are better.

However! I'm sure this one is easier to use, if you can figure out how to load your animations.
